Krishna Roy

Krishna Roy, Vice President of Communications and Development for Island Press, serves on the board of directors of the Trust for Architectural Easements.

Previously, Krishna worked as a consultant for eight years specializing in capacity building, development, and communications. Prior to that, she was Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Ocean Conservancy, where she was responsible for providing overall strategic direction, coordination, and implementation of the organization’s national and international communications and marketing activities.

She also has held communications and development positions with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, TransAfrica Forum, Greenpeace, and The Nature Conservancy and is an award-winning producer.

Krishna has a M.A. in History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and a B.A. Honors in Political Science from Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India.
